Prof. Turković holds an LL.M. and a J.S.D. from Yale Law School. Since 1996 she is a member of New York State Bar. She worked as Legal Counsel for Hunton & Williams (New York) and was Associate in General Corporate Practice, Sullivan & Cromwell (New York). She has further been member of the Board of Open Society Institute Croatia, National Coordinator for European Sourcebook of Crime and Criminal Justice Statistics, National Coordinator for the International Crime Victim Survey (UNICRI) and was Co-director of the NATO Workshop on „The Role of Humanitarian Victimology in Preventing Terrorism“ in 2005. Since 1987 she has been lecturing on criminal law, criminology, victimology and health law at the University of Zagreb, and she is currently the Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Legal Affairs of the University of Zagreb.
