Cognitive Skills:

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:

- define basic air law terms

- explain the role and importance of air transport in the 21st ccentury

- identify the most important characteristics of international public and private air law

- critically asses and recognize roles of specific subjects in global air tranposrt market

- discuss the current status of air transport industry in the world and in the EU

- explain air traffic rights (freedoms) and the operation of internationl air transport

- explain legal regulation of certain air transport spheres (safety, security, environment protection, consumer protection etc.)

- explain international regulatoin of passengers air carrier liability and define basic institutes this rests on

Practical and Generic Skills:

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:

-use international legal sources and air law literature

 interpret certain air transport institutes and apply them to a particular case

- apply their knowledge in air law for understanding how the international air transport  functions

- choose the applicable international provision (solution) and apply it in simple air law cases

Analysis

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:

- identify divisions of air law and explain their differences and overlapping

- diferentiate characteristic of contractual and civil liability of air carrier

- analyse the influencce of EU law and policy in international air law towards regulation of international air transport

- prove  understanding of legal issues of contract of carriage of passengers by air  

- prove  understanding of air carrier's liability for damage to third persons and on the ground

- prove  understanding of legal issues in air transport competition law

- prove  understanding of environment protection from air transport

- identify issues of specific air law institutes and their application in the industry

 

Syntesis

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:

- shape a full picture of international air law regulation

- solve the issue and apply relevant international air transport regulation in the context of a particular case

- identify the relations of certain subjects in air transportin the context of internationl air transport regulation

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:

- compare and discuss  current international air law regulation and find possibilities for its legal deficiencis
