Explain the legal framework for conducting insurance activities in the Republic of Croatia and the importance of insurance (insurance law included) in everyday and economic life
Demonstrate an understanding of the legal issues of life insurance contracts, property insurance contracts, liability insurance contracts
Distinguish the rights and obligations of the parties from individual insurance contracts and determine the application of specific norms of insurance law with regard to the circumstances of a case
Analyze the justification of the existing regulation of specific institutes of insurance law and examine the possibilities of their improvement
Critically assess the advantages and disadvantages of individual institutes of insurance law and the quality of legislative changes and procedures in practice

Matching Assessments to Learning Outcomes:
The oral exam is more than an accurate reproduction of learned facts. The student is expected to have a good understanding of the subject, knowledge of regulations, and connecting facts. In addition, the student is expected to provide a meaningful and legally sound explanation of his answers and adequate argumentation of the stated legal views.
Defining Final Grade Criteria:
- Grade earned at a Written/online Colloqium, covers only part of the topics elaborated during the course)
- Grade earned at an Oral exam (covers all topics which are not covered by written/online colloqium)
