After successful completion of the course students will be able to:
- define and explain the system, individual institutes and concepts of property law
- define and explain the system and institutes of law of inheritance
- explain the scope of application of legal rules and prerequisites for the application of individual legal institutes of property law and law of inheritance
- explain why certain requirements are legally prescribed for the creation of individual legal relations and the purpose of individual institutes.
- explain why individual institutes of property law and law of inheritance are applied in certain life situations.
Application
After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:
- properly interpret rules that regulate property law and law of inheritance
- solve the problem of legal gaps
- prepare a draft contract on estabblishment and transfer of various types of property rights, draft wills, applications and other legal acts
- determine which legal rules are relevant for solving a concrete case
- apply legal rules to concrete life situations
Analysis
After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:
- analyse legal sources and legal rules that determine the subject matter of property law and law of obligations
- connect legal rules that regulate individual institutes of property law and law of inheritance
- analyse points of fact and distinguish relevant from irrelevant facts in order to properly apply legal rules
- connect subject matter of property law and law of inheritance with the subject matter of the course Civil law I: general part and law of obligations
Synthesis
After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:
- connect relevant facts with legal rules and on the basis of that determine which rights belong to holders of rela property rights and other persons
- connect relevant facts with legal rules and on the basis of that determine which rights belong to legal heirs, lenders of the deceased and other persons
- critically consider the position of parties in the legal relationship, and decide which are advantages and disadvantages of these parties in dispute
- prepare material for solving a concrete case
- prepare a professional or scientific paper (seminar)

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:
- compare different legal institutes of the general part of property law and law of inheritance that are available for solving concrete cases
- recommend an optimal manner of realising subjective civil rights in the area of property law and law of inheritance
- conclude which are the consequences of applying individual institutes of property law and law of inheritance
After successful completion of the course students will be able to:
- find relevant legal sources,
- research court practice,
- express their own opinion about the application of legal rules to concrete cases,
- formulate the contents of pledings for the purpose of realisation and protection of subjective rights, contracts and other legal acs,
- prepare names and unnamed contracts,
- write professional and scientific papers (seminar),
- participate in the work of a team during solving cases (seminar),
- use e-learning systems.
