After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:
- define key economic indicators and their connectors;
- explain doctrins of economic policy and their influence on today's life;
- main problems of Croatian economic policy;
- critically evaluate main problems of Croatian economic policy;
- remember relevants concepts from political economy.
APPLICATION
After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:
- interpret crucial problems on the economic scene in Croatia, countries in transition and the rest of the world;
illustrate main dilemmas in the area of industrial policy and allocation of state subsidies;
illustrate the influence of economic policy instruments;
- illustrate causes, course and consequences of main economic crises and compare them
- identify main problems of post-war Croatian economic policy;
- compare key economic trends in Croatia and comparable coutnries.
Practical and Generic Skills:
After successfully mastering the course, students will be able to:
- publicly present learning outcomes;
- participate in a discussion in an argumented manner;
- continue to develop communication and presentation skills;
- participate in team work;
- prepare presentations, essays and discussions
Matching Assessments to Learning Outcomes:
- Classes in Economic policy are conducted as a continuous and proactive learning process in which the emphasis is placed on interaction.
- In that manner a constant two-way communicatiuon is ensured, which stimulated students' engagement and permanent acquisition of learning outcomes.
- Apart from regular consultations with Chair members, student assistants are also available to students in all classes and seminars
- Modern audio-visual contents are used in class.
- Several times per semester guest lecturers are invited (renowned representatuves of academic, business, trade union community, or representatives of governmental and other institutions) in order to transfer current and practical knowledge to students and motivate their critical evaluation of events and active mastering- of learning materials.
