Course objectives are:
(1) extending the knowledge in the field of social psychology acquired within the course "Social Psychology",
(2) independent work on a selected topic within the thematic framework of the course "Social Psychology", supervised by the teacher, and
(3) improvement of presentation skills and the group discussion skills.
Social psychology as a scientific branch. Socialization processes. Primary socialization. Self-determination theory and parenting. Social cognition, impression formation, implicit personality theories. Social perception, theories of attribution, biases. Attitudes - structure, formation, functions. Theory of planned behaviour. Attitudes change, cognitive dissonance, theories of persuasion.
Close relationships. Interpersonal attraction. Agressive behaviour, theories, detetrminants, modification. Prosocial behaviour, altruism. Social support, voluntarism. Prejudice and discrimination. Group processes. Comformism. Interpersonal and intergroup conflicts and conflict resolution.
