Through the course European Social Policy, students learn about the development and characteristics of different welfare regimes in Europe, social rights and social policy at the European level, including recent social processes and reforms and their impact on the Croatian welfare state. They get acquainted with the history and institutional framework of European integrations and the theoretical concept of Europeanization, as well as with the development, characteristics and content of the European social model, including the ideational foundations of the European social model, European guidelines/recommendations and mechanisms of the European social model. They acquire the knowledge and skills needed to develop individual social policy programs, being considerate of the "European Social Model". They are trained to understand, analyze and evaluate individual fields/programs of social policy.
Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars.
